Nonchalantmom: Nonchalant Kids

Nonchalant Kids - The PANTSUIT! something that fascinates me... I love them - probably because I hate to wear dresses myself. I think that this is such a great solution for girls, still very easy to wear and put on for them but at the same time it's much easier to play in a pantsuit than it is in a dress (think jungle gym!) -- whatever the case we love these guys and hope that you do too! easy to wear and fun for everyone! Besides we made them a couple of years ago and they sold out so very quickly! Get yours now...

Nonchalant Kids - RESORT/SPRING 2010

This season we had so much going on that somehow my collection got a bit delayed, but here it is and I really love what we did... I went to Ikea again and raided the place of their wonderful prints (I really think they are the best for kids clothing! or a tablecloth - ha!) We were not able to make a huge collection so we just pared it down to the things that we LOVED!

The swing top was really our favorite piece, oh and the halter pantsuit was too, and then we just wanted some fun knee pants that were easy and simple so these are the "favorite pant" cut off at the knee! I hope you love the mini collection as much as we do... sorry it's so late!!! (like I tell you guys, I need to keep my "eye on the ball" better!).

Oh, and everything is produced in the USA - sweatshop free... we love that too!

Nonchalant Kids - FALL 2009

This new collection was so much fun to put together because I finally had a collaborator! I worked together with an intern (and friend) from RISD named Meagan Phipps, she came in to show me what she was working on in her RISD program and we decided that she would create the t-shirt prints and knit the sweaters. It was really exciting to work with such a talented student and I am very excited to see how her career comes along!

So once again the entire collection is pretty home-made, with sweaters knit by Meagan, t-shirts printed by hand in her studio and the pants were made in a wonderful factory close to us (and surprisingly right by the ocean!!) talk about low carbon foot-print!!

Thank you Meagan and good luck to you!
